MARCH AND APRIL ARTIST: SANDY REDDIG

Amish Reunion Sandy Reddig has enthusiastically pursued the art of portraiture for twenty years, creating portraits of striking accuracy and insight. To Reddig, the highest achievement in art is producing a great painting that happens to be a portrait. From Columbus, Ohio, Reddig paints subjects of all ages, including individuals and family groups. Her works hang in many private and public collections, including the Columbus Metro Library, churches, of government officials and prominent business leaders.

Reddig feels there is nothing more interesting to capture than the "life and excitement" of an individual subject, and she rises to the challenge. Pastel and oils are her preferred mediums providing great permanence thus allowing her work to become time treasured family heirlooms.

Tending the FlockShe meets with the client to discuss the commissioned portrait. Desired pose, number of subjects, size and other pertinent details are discussed. The artist will take a series or use client's favorite photos and sends a sketch for approval of composition and progresses with the painting in her studio. Reddig is continuously refining her technique and is committed to making each commission an easy, enjoyable process.

Sandy is represented at Studios on High Gallery, (614) 461-6487. Contact her at www.sandyreddigfineart.com or ArtistŐs Studio, (614) 875-4900.
