We are a congregation of children and seniors, singles and families, straight and gay people, lifelong Christians, people who are new to the faith, and those who are searching. Through worship, service and learning we create a community that shares the unconditional welcome offered at Jesus’ table.
We offer three regular worship services at St. John’s. Sunday’s at 10:30 a.m. our worship service features one or more of our choirs, hymn singing, a message, and children’s church. We also have nursery care available, although children of all ages are always welcome in any of our services. Wednesdays at 12 Noon is The Largest Table. This is a brief worship service that includes a hymn, brief message, and communion. The service is followed by a community meal in our Fellowship Hall. In addition, we offer a Candlelight Evening Prayer Service with music in the style of TAIZE at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month, October through April.
While the style of each of these services is different, there are also things you will find that they each have in common. You will find some people who wear jeans and t-shirts, and others who are in dresses or suits. You will hear beautiful music and a message of hope, love, and uncompromising inclusion that is designed to engage your heart as well as your head. You will experience a community that is rich in the Spirit of God and honors every human being.
At St. John’s we embrace diversity and are committed to the community around us. If you choose, you will find many ways you can get involved and make a difference in the lives of others.
I hope you will visit soon. If you do, please take the time to introduce yourself to me. I look forward to meeting you!
